How It Works
Please message me by using the contact form on this site.
Select the product you are interested in commissioning from the drop down or, if you're not ready to make an order yet, choose "I just have a question".
I will respond to your message and ask for the following:
For an acrylic painting, I will add you to the queue, and I will let you know where you are in line. When I am starting your painting, I will let you know, and send an invoice to your provided email. Unfortunately, I do have to require upfront payment.
I will not be making a replica of your photos! I use them as references, and generally do a very simple background of a color that seems to suit them. I will either copy the photo that most lends itself to painting, or create a composite (as is the case when people can’t get their pets to sit together, or can’t get their pet to do “this pose” and “that face!” at the same time, etc.) If it’s a photo of the whole animal, I will probably do a macro, especially if it is an 8x10 painting. Crayon portraits are generally a little more cartoonish and goofy.

I will respond to your message and ask for the following:
- Your pet’s (or pets’) name(s). I technically don’t need to know this, but it makes me happy, and makes me feel like I know your pet a little better.
- Your favorite picture, or 2-4 pictures of your pet(s).
- Special notes such as: “I like when my dog has one ear up.” “I think it’s so cute when my cat makes this face!” “I associate the color pink with my guinea pig.”
- Your mailing address, so I can send your finished portrait!
